I am above all else a mindfulness teacher, that is at my core. I didn't choose this, it chose me. Life gave me a challenge to find soutions for the experiences I lived through and mindfulness was the ultimate healer, though much else helped along the way. Writing followed on because it is another way for me to share all that I have learned from my nearly 8 decades of living. I mostly write poetry and memoir which both offer me wonderful opportunities to share my experiences and ideas , my insights, with a wider range of people than my immediate circle. My books are all on Amazon so easy to access, much as I dislike the ethical values of this organisation, but I also believe in peace with all things even that which I disagree with, since anger and hostility never healed any wounds. Peace is never passive and I work at it constantly, so that I can emanate it outwards to others too. It is the only way - I have learned this through personal experiences that sometimes defy belief, but they are there in my books. I am astonished at my own story, am grateful for all it taught me, for all the challenges I had to face and met as well as I was able. Above all I learned not to judge myself or others. We are all doing the best we can with what we know, nothing more or less than that. All behaviour is understandable in the context of the lived experience of that individual. No one gets it right, we are all a work in progress, but some might be slightly close to completion than others. I am still learning Amazon.co.uk: Sylvia Clare: Books, Biography, Blogs, Audiobooks, Kindle
